Over 2 dozen displaced after fire at Glocester Motor Inn

GLOCESTER, R.I. (WLNE) — About 26 people are displaced after a fire at the Glocester Motor Inn, according to the West Glocester Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to the motel on Putnam Pike around 12:15 p.m. for reports of a fire.
According to the department, multiple rooms at the motel were on fire.
Firefighters were able to control the flames “in a few hours,” according to the department.
One person was burned, but was not taken to the hospital.
The Rhode Island Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
The Red Cross is assisting about 26 displaced residents.
