Overnight bridge repairs scheduled for Mansfield, Taunton

MANSFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said it will be performing repairs on bridges in Mansfield and Taunton beginning Sunday night.

Work on the Interstate 495 northbound and southbound bridge over School Street in Mansfield will take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and are expected to be completed by Nov. 8.

Meanwhile, work on the I-495 northbound and southbound bridges over the Snake River in Taunton will take place at the same time and is also expected to be completed by Nov. 8.

Temporary traffic adjustments like lane and shoulder closures will be used as needed and at least one lane of travel will be open at all times.

Drivers traveling through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
