Owner of spa in Somerset charged with human trafficking

SOMERSET, Mass. (WLNE) — The Somerset Police Department said that the owner of Lotus Flower Body Works was arrested on human trafficking charges.

53-year-old Yuehong Wang was charged with trafficking of a person for sexual servitude, deriving support from prostitution, two counts of sexual conduct for a fee, aiding and permitting a nuisance, and keeping a house of ill fame.

Police said that Wang listed the business address as her place of residence.

The department and the United States Naval Criminal Investigative Service initiated a search of the business on July 9 and allegedly found $51,444 in cash, along with “numerous ledgers and other items of evidentiary value.”

Police said that detectives also identified an associated location in Tyngsborough that an investigation into was launched.
