Parent Support Network of Rhode Island sets up 24-hour warming center for families in need

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Parent Support Network of Rhode Island said it has set up a 24-hour warming center ahead of the weekend’s expected storm.

The center is located at 35 Centerville Road, Suite 202, in Warwick.

The organization said the center is for families “who need to get out of the cold weather due to being unhoused or unable to keep their home warm during frigid temperatures outside.”

The center will be open 24 hours a day during the weekend, and has food and sleeping gear on site.

“We are a safe and welcoming environment, and our family support staff are onsite and available to assist with navigating housing, utilities, and connecting to other services and supports,” the organization said.

More information on the center can be learned by calling 401-269-9736.
