Parking ban in effect during New Bedford Cape Verdean Recognition Parade

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The New Bedford Police Department said a parking ban will be in effect during the city’s Cape Verdean Recognition Parade and Kultura Festa on July 6.

The ban will go in effect starting at 7 a.m. and will include street closures.

The parade will start at Buttonwood Park and travel along Union Street, Acushnet Avenue, Grinnell Street, and Purchase Street before ending at the Cape Verdean Veterans’ Memorial Hall.

Drivers should expect traffic delays during the event.
