Patriot Place ready for large crowds for Army-Navy game

Foxborough, Mass. (WLNE) — Businesses right outside of Gillette Stadium said they’re anticipating a big turnout for Saturday’s Army-Navy game.

“Here at Patriot Place and The Harp we are used to larger crowds between the concert season and Taylor Swift obviously, and the Patriots games,” The Harp Manager Adam Vargulish said. “We are anticipating a little bit bigger than usual, extra staff will be on, everyone in nice and early, everyone is prepped and ready for a busy day.”

Vargulish said The Harp does not normally take reservations and that its not changing their rules despite the large crowds expected to flow into Patriot Place.

The bar does plan to open an hour early to accommodate incoming fans.

“There are a lot of factors like traffic and parking that can impact in times, so it’s a first-come, first-serve basis,” Vargulish said.

One man from Natick supports the game for his own reason.

“The Army-Navy game means a lot to me, my father was in the Army,” Doug Bartley said. “My wife’s godson just got our of the marines, so I am a big supporter of the Army-Navy game.”
