Pawtucket announces Hall of Fame nominations

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket Hall of Fame Committee is seeking nominations for 2024.

The annual event celebrates individuals whose efforts have made an impact and highlighted Pawtucket’s heritage.

Those who receive the award will be inducted into the Pawtucket Hall of Fame awards ceremony on Nov. 1, 2024 at the Pawtucket Armory Arts Center.

Nominees must be one of the following as listed:

  • Born in the City of Pawtucket OR
  • Whose reputation was made while a resident of Pawtucket OR
  • Who made the City of Pawtucket the home of their business AND
  • Who has made a lasting impact on the quality of life of the citizens of Pawtucket

A letter of nomination must be sent to the chairperson and should include a statement why this person should be nominated.

A minimum of two additional letters of support from other individuals are also required.

When the committee meets to review and consider candidates, the person who made the nomination will have the chance to come before the committee and speak on the nominee.

The deadline for nominations is May 17, 2024.
