Pawtucket- Central Falls railroad station in the works

A construction sign is up at the future site of the Pawtucket- Central Falls commuter rail station. City and state leaders gathered there Monday to formally announce the plans for the project.
The rail station, which is slated to open in 2020, will be located between Barton Street, Conant Street, Goff Avenue, and Dexter Street at the city line between Pawtucket and Central Falls. It will connect Rhode Island and Boston through the MBTA lines.
The RIDOT was awarded a $13.1 million federal TIGER grant to build the station.
