Pawtucket Fire vehicle involved in crash on Newport Avenue

PAWTCUKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A Pawtucket Fire Department Vehicle was involved in a crash Saturday night.
Det. Sgt. Theodore Georgitsis of the Pawtucket Police Department said that crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Newport Avenue and benefit Street.
The operator of the non-fire rescue vehicle was transported to the hospital with injuries, as well as a firefighter and two passengers for complaints of pain.
Georgitsis said the incident is currently under investigation.
