A Pawtucket man was arrested and charged for allegedly carrying a stolen firearm with out a license and having marijuana in a vehicle Friday afternoon.
22 year old Alexander Pina of Pawtucket was arrested after police stopped him for speeding on Newport Avenue on July 17th at 1 p.m.
Pina is being charged with License or Permit Required to Carry a Pistol, Possession of Stolen Firearms and Possession of Less than an Ounce of Marijuana.
Police say the silver Acura did not have a front registration plate and looked like it had unlawful sunscreen material on the rear windshield and passenger windows.
They had reason to believe that marijuana had been smoked in the vehicle and performed a vehicle check and discovered a small amount of marijuana and a stolen Glock semi-automatic loaded pistol.
