Pawtucket man arrested for alleged drug, firearm possession

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket Police Department said that a man was arrested after a search warrant was executed on Primrose Street.
31-year-old Joey Fernandes was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver Schedule I/II drugs, maintaining a common nuisance, distribution or manufacturing of a controlled substance in/near a school, possession of a Schedule I-V drug, and possession of a firearm while delivering or manufacturing a controlled substance.

The department said the search warrants were issued as part of an investigation into a cocaine and fentanyl distribution operation throughout the city.
As a result of the search police allegedly found a .357 magnum revolver, several boxes of ammunition, approximately $650.00in cash, approximately 12 grams of crack cocaine and 10 grams of fentanyl, Oxycodone pills, digital scales, cutting agents, and packaging material.
There were also four minors in the residence.
