Pawtucket man arrested on child molestation charges

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) – Pawtucket Police announced the arrest of a 53-year-old man in a child molestation case Tuesday.

Police were called on February 15th to investigate a report of child molestation. An 11-year-old female victim reported being molested by a family friend, identified as Johnnie Doe, 53, of Pawtucket.

After a Police investigation, Doe was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Child Molestation Sexual Assault.

Doe was arraigned in Providence District Court on February 18th and released on $25,000 Surety with the following conditions:

  • No Contact with Juvenile
  • Non-Domestic No Contact Order

Police said detectives received additional information during the course of the investigation alleging that Doe may have assaulted other children.
