Pawtucket man arrested on drug charges

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) – A Pawtucket man was arrested on drug charges after Police seized over a dozen pounds of marijuana from his home.

Pawtucket Police Narcotics Unit received information from Newport Police Sunday about a possible marijuana distribution operation based out of a home on Martha Street in Pawtucket.

Narcotics detectives responded to the address and were granted consent from the homeowner to search the premises.

Police seized around 13 pounds of marijuana from the home, along with 107 “Dank Vape” 1 gram THC cartridges, as well as scales and packaging materials.

One resident of the home, identified as 21-year-old Dayton Deighan, was arrested on the following charges:

  • Possession of Marijuana in Excess of 5 Kilograms
  • Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver
  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance

Deighan also faces charges in Newport.

He is expected to be arraigned in Providence District Court.
