Pawtucket man pleads not guilty to 2008 murder

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket man accused of murdering 63-year-old Carl Seeneck in 2008 was arraigned on Wednesday.
In court, James Grilli pled not guilty to his murder charge.
According to Attorney General Peter Neronha, Grilli allegedly shot and killed Seebeck on Aug. 29, 2008 during an attempted robbery.
Neronha added that Grilli previously pled no contest in 2023 to the second-degree murder of 40-year-old Erika Belcourt in Woonsocket, and that he was serving a life sentence plus a consecutive 5-year sentence for murder and other charges.
Grilli’s case will continue in June.
