Pawtucket man to serve 6 years for selling fentanyl pills
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — United States Attorney Zachary Cunha said a “seasoned drug dealer” who previously served eight different jail sentences was sentenced again for selling fentanyl pills.
36-year-old Gary Doran, of Pawtucket, pled guilty to a charge of distribution of 40 grams or more of fentanyl in October 2023.
Cunha said that three months after Doran, who also goes by “G-Baby,” was released from jail in 2021 the FBI Safe Streets Task Force found that he was active in drug dealing.
During the investigation it was found that Doran sold a cooperating witness thousands of fentanyl pills, for a total of $9,250 over a period of less than two months.
Doran was sentenced to 72 months of incarceration to be followed by three years of federal supervised release.
His previous convictions for selling drugs had sentences that ranged from six months to 2 years.
