Pawtucket Police charge man who was shot by officer after allegedly threatening others with plastic rifle

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket Police Department said that the man who was shot by an officer after allegedly threating others with a replica plastic rifle was charged.
Sebastian Yidina was charged with felony assault with a device similar to a firearm and disorderly conduct for an incident that occurred on June 7, as well as felony assault with a device similar to a firearm and disorderly conduct.
On June 8, police responded to Broad Street and Exchange Street for multiple reports of a man with a gun who was pointing it at himself and others.
At the scene, one of the officers shot him once in the shoulder.
Yidana was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
