Pawtucket Police investigating hit and run

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket Police Department is investigating after a vehicle allegedly struck a pedestrian and drove away Sunday night.

According to Pawtucket police, officers responded to the intersection of Pawtucket Avenue and Carver Street for reports of a hit and run involving a pedestrian.

Pawtucket police said the pedestrian was crossing the road when they were hit, and the driver left the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
