Pawtucket police investigating shooting on Benefit Street

PAWTUCKET, R.I. —  Police responded to 2 Benefit Street where a man was shot Thursday night, according to Pawtucket police.

Authorities say they responded to the home at 9:45 p.m. Thursday for a report of shots fired, and found a male victim who sustained a gunshot wound.

The victim was later transported to Rhode Island hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the investigation is still on-going. However, officials are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective Michael Cioe at (401)727-9100 ext. 725.
