Pawtucket: Reported shots fired domestic incident an apparent ‘swatting’ call

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — What was reported as a possible domestic incident involving shots fired is being called an apparent “swatting” incident by Pawtucket police.

According to Pawtucket Police Detective Sergeant Theodore Georgitsis, police responded to an address on Sabin Street Friday morning after the report.

“After further investigation by the Detective Division and with the assistance of the Pawtucket Police Special Response Team, the incident was deemed not credible and an apparent swatting incident,” said Detective Georgitsis.
