Pawtucket residents rally to support man shot by police

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Pawtucket resident rallied outside of police headquarters Friday evening in support of a man shot by an officer.

28-year-old Sebastian Yidana was shot near Slater House Apartments on June 8 when police were called for reports of a man pointing a gun at himself and others.

Police later said the gun was a plastic replica.

His mother said he is expected to need surgery and that she has not been able to see him.
