Pawtucket school mascots help remind residents to slow down in school zones

Pawtucket, RI (WLNE) – Pawtucket got some help Wednesday in its efforts to try and get drivers to slow down in school zones.

School mascots were outside Potter Burns Elementary School, Goff Middle School, and Nathanael Greene Elementary School.

The mascots were holding signs to remind drivers of the speed limit while they were standing underneath or near the city’s new speed cameras.

Mayor Don Grebien says the city is constantly looking for new ways to bring awareness to school zone safety.
