Pawtucket’s Smug Brewing to turn off the taps at end of August

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — It’s last call for a Pawtucket brewery.

Smug Brewing on Carver Street posted on its Facebook that after seven years, the brewery will close its doors at the end of August.

The owners said, until then, there will be farewell events, merchandise sales and last-chance releases of their beer.

A reason for the closure was not given.

Smug will be open on Thursdays through Sundays until August 30.
