PC Friars Announce Hoop Schedule

PROVIDENCE, R.I.
— The Providence College men's basketball team's 2013-14 BIG EAST
schedule was announced today (Sept. 5). With the newly
formed 10-team BIG EAST Conference, the Friars will play an 18-game
league schedule with Providence playing each of the other nine
conference teams once at home and once on the road.
The Friars will open their 2013-14 league schedule with a home game
versus Seton Hall on Tuesday, December 31 at 2:30 p.m. on Fox Sports 1.
The
team will play eight other league games at the Dunkin' Donuts Center
versus Georgetown on Wednesday, January 8 at 7:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1;
Creighton on Saturday, January 18 at 2:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1; Butler
on Tuesday, January 21 at 9:00 p.m. on Fox Sports
1; Xavier on Saturday, January 25 at 12:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1; St.
John's on Tuesday, February 4 at 7:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1; DePaul on
Saturday, February 15 at 2:00 p.m. on Fox Sports Net; Villanova on
Tuesday, February 18 at 7:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1;
and Marquette on Tuesday, March 4 at 9:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1.
Providence's BIG EAST road schedule will begin on Sunday, January 5
when the Friars will play at Villanova at 7:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1.
The
team also will play league games at St. John's on Thursday, January 16
at 7:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1; at Marquette on Thursday, January 30 at
7:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1; at DePaul on Saturday, February 1 at 1:00
p.m. on Fox Sports Net; at Xavier on Saturday,
February 8 at 5:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1; at Georgetown on Monday,
February 10 at 7:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1; at Butler on Sunday, February
23 at 6:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1; at Seton Hall on Friday, February 28
at 7:00 p.m. on CBS Sports Network; and at Creighton
on Saturday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
Fans can get their first glimpse of the team at the annual Late Night
Madness festivities at PC's Alumni Hall on Friday, October 25. Season
tickets
for all home games can be purchased Monday through Friday from 8:30
a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the PC Ticket Office in Alumni Hall, at Friars.com or
