PC Friars Remain Third in Both College Hockey Polls

PC news release…

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men’s hockey team remained No. 3 in the latest national polls announced on Monday (Jan. 11). Dating back to Feb. 25, 2013, Providence has been ranked in the USCHO.com poll for 76 straight weeks and currently holds the No. 6 position in the PairWise rankings.

At Boston College on Friday, the Friars suffered their first regulation loss in a span of 30 games and faced their first multi-goal deficit this season.  On Saturday at Schneider Arena, the two teams skated to a 4-4 tie as the schools finished with a 1-1-1 record against each other in 2015-16.

Up next for the Friars is a two-game set at Gutterson Fieldhouse against the streaking Vermont Catamounts, who are winners of four consecutive games.
