Pedestrian hit by car, killed in Bristol pizza shop parking lot

BRISTOL, R.I. (WLNE) — A man was hit by a car in the parking lot of ‘Pizza Wave’ tonight, and later died.

Bristol police say a 59-year-old man was hit in the parking lot of the store on Metacom Ave. around 5:28 p.m. Monday.

He was a resident of Bristol, police said, but his name has not been released.

He was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital, but died.

Police are investigating the circumstances that led up to the crash.
