Police identify pedestrian killed in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. – Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed early Saturday morning.
Police have identified the as Anthony Burns, 43, from Pawtucket.
Police say they reported to the area of 134 Benefit Street around 6:30 A.M. for a report of a pedestrian who was struck by a van.
The male victim was transported to Rhode Island hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Rhode Island State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit are assisting in this investigation. Police ask anyone with information to call detectives at (401)727-9100, extension 737.
