Pedestrian struck by truck in North Kingstown
NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — A pedestrian was struck by a truck in North Kingstown on Roger Williams Way early Tuesday, according to the North Kingstown Police Department.
The incident occurred at 4:40 a.m. at the Roger Williams Way – Casey Avenue intersection.
The vehicle in the incident, a red Ford F-150, was occupied buy a 63-year-old North Kingstown man who was not injured.
The pedestrian who was struck is a 62-year-old North Providence man who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.
Speed was not a factor according to the preliminary investigation, and the driver of the truck was fully cooperative with officers.
The crash is still under investigation by the North Kingstown Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.
