Pedestrian sustains serious injuries in Franklin crash

FRANKLIN, Mass. (WLNE) — A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being struck by a car Monday morning, according to a statement from the Franklin Police Department.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:01 a.m. in the area of 354 Pleasant Street where arriving Franklin fire and police personnel found the pedestrian who had been struck by a single vehicle.

Life-saving measures were taken by first responders and a Life Flight Medical Helicopter was called and landed at Longley Field, according to Franklin PD.

The victim was ultimately transported by the Franklin Fire Department to an area hospital.

Pleasant Street is closed while both Franklin police and Massachusetts State Police accident reconstruction personnel investigate the scene.
