Penthouse Bar ordered to close

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Providence night club is ordered to temporarily close because of a weekend shooting.

The Providence Journal reports that shots were fired Saturday night as the Pent House Club was letting out.

The city’s Board of Licenses ordered the club to close for 72 hours, but Mayor Elorza is pushing for the board to revoke the club’s license for good.

The Board of Licenses will resume these hearings on Tuesday.
