Person dead after car collides with house in Somerset
SOMERSET, Mass. (WLNE) — The Somerset Police Department responded to a fatal motor vehicle crash early Sunday morning.
Chief Todd Costa said that around 3 a.m. police received reports that a car collided with a house on South Street.
Police discovered a truck had hit the southeast corner of the home, and its driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Costa said that all occupants of the home were evacuated, and there were no other injuries.
He added that the Somerset Building Inspector determined the house was temporarily uninhabitable due to damage caused by the crash.
The incident is still under investigation.
