Person rescued from apartment building during Warwick fire

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Warwick Firefighter’s Union said members of its A-platoon rescued a person during a fire at the Greenwich Village apartments this morning.
The union said on social media that the fire was contained to the apartment unit it started in.
All three of the department’s ladder companies responded to the fire.
Mayor Frank Picozzi said that there were no serious injuries during the fire and that Greenwich Avenue had to be shut down during the operation.
