‘Please help’: Better Lives RI asking for donations in wake of empty food pantry shelves
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Better Lives RI is asking community members to donate non-perishable food items and gift cards in the face of empty shelves at their food pantry.
The pantry was closed earlier last week because of the of the shortage.
The organization said in a statement, in part:
More and more people need our help. Please help us help them. Please consider donating to our food pantry to keep providing as much as we can to keep our communities with food on their table.
Donations can be dropped off in person at 12 Abbott Park Place in Providence, and monetary gifts can be made here.
