Plymouth Man charged after hitting police cruiser

Cameron McPhee rear-ended the police cruiser last night during a traffic stop, (via Wareham Police).

WAREHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — A Plymouth man will be arraigned in court today after he hit a police cruiser during a traffic stop.

24-year-old Cameron McPhee was charged with operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to move over for an emergency vehicle, and possession of an open container of alcohol.

Officials said McPhee hit the parked cruiser with an officer inside.

He and the officer had to be transported to the hospital.

He will be arraigned in Wareham District Court.
