Police arrest 4 for selling counterfeit Patriots tickets

The New England Patriots are warning fans to beware of counterfeit tickets after four individuals were arrested for selling fake tickets on Craigslist.

On Thursday a posting was made on Craigslist advertising tickets to Sunday’s AFC Championship game between the Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts. An individual seeking to buy the tickets realized they were fake and alerted Billerica Police. 

The buyer told police the transaction was made as a Holiday inn in Somerville and that he had paid $900 for the four counterfeit tickets.

Somerville Police Detectives conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of four individuals identified as Jatquan Hyman, 20, Jarrell Inge, 26, and Jose Lopez, 22, and one juvenile, all from New YorkNY. They were charged in Somerville District Court for Larceny over $250, and Attempt to Commit a Crime.

Police also seized additional counterfeit tickets and thousands are dollars in cash. They had been selling the tickets in the areas of SaugusBillerica, andSomerville areas. 

The only verified sellers of Patriots tickets are the Patriots Ticket Office and Ticket Master.
