Police arrest suspect wanted in Woonsocket shooting
UXBRIDGE, Mass. (WLNE) — The Uxbridge Police Department said a suspect was arrested on Aug. 1 in connection with a shooting that occurred in Woonsocket.
Police said an officer saw North Smithfield police chasing a car on Route 146 around 1:30 p.m. before it crossed the border and headed west on Route 16.
Douglas police used “stop-sticks” to slow the car before it crashed into a telephone pole in Webster.
Three people bailed out, and two were caught after a search with help from Massachusetts State Police.
The third suspect was identified but remained at large, according to the Webster Police Department.
Police added that drugs were allegedly thrown out of the car during the chase, leading to additional charges.
