Police: beware of scam order forms found in Barrington

BARRINGTON, R.I. (WLNE) – Barrington Police are warning the public about a scam making its way through town.

The police department posted a picture to its Facebook page of what looks like a Barrington High School fundraiser order form.

The form says it’s from “Sports Media” and asks for roughly $190 for a “2019 Spring Sports Poster.”

Police said this is not a real fundraiser, and anyone who finds one should throw it away.
