PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The person of interest who had been detained in connection with a fatal mass shooting at Brown University Saturday has been released, according to police.
Police made the announcement at a press conference late Sunday night.

Police are again asking members of the public for any video evidence they may have in connection with the crime.
Per Providence Mayor Brett Smiley, video or photo evidence be submitted via phone at 401-272-3121 or to the FBI tip line online here.
