Police close off part of Lonsdale Avenue in Pawtucket after apparent incident

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A large emergency response prompted the closure of a small part of Lonsdale Avenue in Pawtucket Thursday night.

ABC 6 News crews are on the scene where police blocked a portion of the road with police tape.

Police cruisers were also seen blocking the road. A car with its hazard lights on was also parked in the taped-off area.

Residents of the area told ABC 6 that they saw a person get struck by a car. The status of the reported victim was not immediately available.

ABC 6 has reached out to Pawtucket police for more information and are waiting to hear back.
