PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Damage at the Providence Public School Department building on Westminster St. was likely caused by a BB gun or a pellet gun, police said.

Providence police responded to the building around 11 a.m. Thursday for a report of possible bullet holes in the front windows, according to a police spokesperson.

Officers found four small defects in the glass, which they believed to be consistent with shots from a BB gun or pellet gun, police said.
