Police: Girls embellished suspicious man story

Two young Pawtucket girls, who told police last week a suspicious man was taking pictures of young girls playing soccer, lied about it.

According to Det. Sgt Paul Brandley, the girls made up parts of the story.

Police say they were able to track down the man and determine he was a legitimate photographer, with a professional website.

The girls agreed to pose for him and police say pictures given to them by the photographer back up that claim.

The incident allegedly happened at Abica Field on April 19.

Sgt. Brandley said there was no inappropriate or illegal contact between the photographer and the girls.
