Ten days after a fiery crash in Cranston, police have identified the man who was killed.
Police say 27-year-old Joseph Lacey of Providence was driving at least 90 mph on Pontiac Avenue early in the morning of September 17.
Police say he lost control and hit a pole and cement wall.
His SUV caught fire and officers couldn’t get to him until fire crews put out the flames.
Police say extreme speed played a factor in the crash.
