Police investigate armed home invasion in Fall River

In Fall River the search for an armed suspect forced the Samuel Watson Elementary School to be put on lock down.

According to police, someone forced their way into a home in a Niagra neighborhood this afternoon.

Police searched homes in the Pleasant Street and Eastern Avenue area–which surrounded the school–but a suspect was not located.

Fall River Police say they locked the school down as a precaution only and that at no time was the school, its staff, or any children, in danger.

Police are now searching other areas in the city.
