Police investigate fatal crash in Westerly, one dead

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE)- A fatal crash left one man dead, after being ejected from his vehicle Wednesday afternoon.
The 28-year-old’s car hydroplaned off Rt. 78, around 2:30 p.m., according to Westerly Police.
It was reported that the man was speeding, and went through a puddle, causing the car to end up in the woods.
The car struck a tree on the drivers side, and rolled over on its roof.
At the time of the accident, the driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected from the vehicle.
The driver was pronounced dead on scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
