Police investigate home invasion in Barrington

Barrington Police are investigating a home invasion where a mother and 23-year-old son adult son were assaulted and robbed.

The victims were in their home on Lake Avenue Sunday at around 8 p.m., when three to four armed men entered their house demanding money.

The suspects ran off with a large amount of money after assaulting the victims.

It is believed that one of the suspects held a shotgun.

According to detectives, the victims had recently moved into town from another state, and believe that the victims were targeted.

The victims could not identify the suspects or if a vehicle was involved.

The Barrington Police Department is seeking information from anyone who may know the suspects involved.
