Police are investigating after swastika signs were spray painted outside a garage of a vacant home in Swansea.

The signs were discovered Thursday morning on Stephen French road home.

“Disgrace, absolute disgrace to have that there”, says Dennis Audet, the neighbor who first noticed the symbols and called the police.

Mr. Audet has lived on the street for more than 25 years and says the house has brought its share of trouble to this community before. About three years ago there was a murder suicide in the home, and it has been vacant ever since then.

On Monday, a for sale sign appeared, followed by the swastika signs four days later.

The home sits on a main road to a school and the children in the neighborhood are now asking questions on what all of this means.

Neighbors are hoping the trouble will stop and they look forward to having a new owner move in.

Police are still investigating the matter and they say the real estate company plans to remove the swastika. We tried contacting that company to find out when, but we haven’t heard back.
