Police investigated threat of firearm at North Providence school

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Police responded to a threat of a firearm at North Providence High School Friday morning.

The North Providence Police Department deemed the threat not credible, but said the department still responded for precaution.

This was following a snapchat that drew concern a firearm was potentially in the school.

Administration kept students in their classrooms, while police made sure the scene was clear.
