Police investigating bomb threats at multiple Rhode Island Planet Fitness locations
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Multiple local police departments are investigating bomb threats to Planet Fitness locations around Rhode Island after an email threat.
Gyms in Providence, East Providence, Warwick, and Rumford were specifically named in the threat.
The Planet Fitness Corporation told ABC 6 that all locations are open.
ABC 6 News crews were on scene at the Providence Planet Fitness.
A Planet Fitness staff member also told ABC 6 that police dogs were called in to check the building.
