Police investigating deadly motorcycle accident in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Police are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash in Cranston on Monday.
Major Todd Patalano said a man hit a curb while traveling on Wellington Avenue around 6:30 p.m. and collided with a guardrail.
Responding crews found the man dead between the guardrail and a fence alongside the roadway.
Wellington Avenue north of Park Avenue was closed from both directions due to the accident.
Police said they did not know if speed was a factor in the crash but confirmed that the rider was not wearing a helmet.
