18-year-old killed in fatal Freetown rollover

FREETOWN, MASS (WLNE) – Massachusetts State Police are investigating a fatal roll-over in Freetown.

According to police the 18-year old girl involved in the crash has been identified as Savannah Gonsalves of North Dartmouth.

She was traveling on Route 140 Northbound near Exit 8 at the time of the crash. 

For unknown reasons, her vehicle traveled into the median and then rolled over and crashed on Route 140 Southbound, before coming to rest in the breakdown lane. 

Police say she was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover and pronounced deceased on the scene. 

Exits 7 and 8 were temporarily closed but have since been re-opened. 

The identity of the occupants being withheld pending the notification of her family.
