Police investigating potential human remains in Easton

EASTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Police are investigating potential human remains discovered in Easton on Wednesday.
The Easton Police Department said it received a report around 12:50 p.m. from a resident who found the remains in a brook adjacent to their property.
Authorities said an area of Summer Street was secured in accordance with the investigation.
Easton Detectives and Massachusetts State Police Crime Services responded to the incident.
Officials said the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner collected the remains and will conduct testing to see if they are human.
Police said there was no further information as of Wednesday evening.
